The American Lawyer and Legal Week are pleased to announce the launch of The Transatlantic Legal Awards 2018.

Submissions are now being accepted for these awards, which recognise excellence in handling transatlantic matters across the key areas of corporate, finance and disputes, as well as highlighting law firm innovation, commitment to pro bono, outstanding transatlantic strategy, and in-house leaders. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in London on June 14, 2018.

The Transatlantic Legal Awards are free to enter, however we do encourage you to support our chosen charity, Embrace Child Victims of Crime, when you submit your entries.

There are 13 practice awards, including M&A Team of the Year (Large and Midmarket), Private Equity Team of the Year, Finance Team of the Year and Arbitration Team of the Year while individual achievement will be recognised in the Dealmaker of the Year, Disputes Lawyer of the Year and General Counsel of the Year categories,

The ceremony will culminate with three flagship awards: Transatlantic Law Firm Leader of the Year, Transatlantic Independent Law Firm of the Year and Transatlantic Law Firm of the Year.

Last year, Clyde & Co and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan managing partner
John Quinn were among the big winners.

Clydes was named Transatlantic Law Firm of the Year while Quinn picked up the award for Transatlantic Law Firm Leader of the Year.

Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom took home three awards, winning the Restructuring, Arbitration and Finance Team of the Year categories.

The judging panel will be made up of senior ALM journalists, led by Georgina Stanley and Gina Passarella, editors-in-chief of Legal Week and The American Lawyer respectively.
